Highland Youth Football and Cheerleading 2025 Season Registration Fee Breakdown
Thank you for registering your child for the 2025 Highland Youth Football and Cheerleading season! We want to be transparent about how your registration fees support our program. Below is a breakdown of how the funds are used to ensure a safe, fun, and competitive experience for all participants. The total registration fee is $300 per player/cheerleader, and here’s where it goes:
1. Insurance Costs - $30–$50 per participant
- What it covers: General liability and accident insurance for practices, games, and events.
- Why it’s needed: Protects players, cheerleaders, coaches, and the organization from medical costs or liability claims due to injuries or accidents. This is mandatory to keep our program operational and safe.
2. Football Uniforms
- What it includes: New Helmets, Bi-Annual Reconditioning of Existing Helmets , shoulder pads, jersey, pants, and socks (some items may be rented/returned, others kept).
- Why it’s needed: Ensures every player has properly fitted, safety-rated gear to participate in games and practices. Costs reflect equipment maintenance, replacements, and sanitization.
3. Cheer Uniforms
- What it includes: Shell top, skirt, bloomers, bow, and pom-poms, leggings and warm-up jackets (some items may be returned at season’s end).
- Why it’s needed: Provides a cohesive team look for performances and games. Costs cover custom designs and durable materials suited for cheer activities.
4. Coaches’ Certifications
- What it covers: Training courses (e.g., concussion awareness, CPR, safety protocols) and background checks for all coaches.
- Why it’s needed: Ensures our volunteer coaches are qualified to teach skills safely and responsibly. Spread across all participants, this keeps our coaching staff compliant with league standards.
5. Medical Equipment & Supplies
- What it includes: First aid kits, ice packs, basic sideline medical supplies, and access to athletic trainers (if applicable).
- Why it’s needed: Prepares us to handle minor injuries during practices and games, keeping safety first for all athletes.
6. League Fees & Administration
- What it covers: Membership dues for our youth league (OCYFL), referee fees, registration software, and administrative expenses.
- Why it’s needed: Keeps us affiliated with a recognized league for scheduling, playoffs, and oversight, plus covers operational costs like communication with families.
7. Miscellaneous Equipment
- What it includes: Footballs, tackling dummies, cones, cheer mats, and other shared gear.
- Why it’s needed: Provides the tools necessary for effective practices and skill development for both football and cheer squads.
